ABOUT ALP SYNERGY

Our mission is to support small businesses to start, grow and thrive as part of a sustainable and fair economy

We are called ALP Synergy for a reason.
Synergy means ‘to bring two or more things together for greater effect’. We are experts in bringing individuals and teams together to deliver complex programmes and to delight our customers. We have created an unparalleled team of twenty-two expert professionals to support the businesses we work with, and we take pride in our effective and efficient delivery.

We are currently delivering BEIS and SPF funded business support and innovation projects for the public and private sectors, and Charities in the UK.

We also use our knowledge and connections to deliver innovative and collaborative programmes and projects which connect businesses, researchers, policy makers and wider stakeholders to help solve some of the world’s sustainable development challenges. We work with clients to help them think differently, to build partnerships and to embed learning so that they can innovate successfully.

We have worked on collaborative projects and activities which contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in the UK and across the Globe. Thee have included innovation and sustainability projects linked to technology transfer, water management (water stewardship, flooding and water quality), plastics, natural capital, economic development and infrastructure. We work with partners and clients to provide innovative and collaborative solutions.

WE DESIGN AND DELIVER INNOVATIVE WORKSHOPS

We are innovative workshop designers who specialise in crafting effective participation, engagement and learning. We bring technical and policy insight from our careers in environmental research, regulation and management, enhancing the workshop experience through expert facilitation. We have created bespoke workshops for universities, water companies, Defra and others across the UK, and in Ethiopia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Kenya.

WE SUPPORT ALLIANCE FOR WATER STEWARDSHIP (AWS) STANDARD SITE CERTIFICATION

We have an AWS team of five accredited specialist consultants who bring a breadth of experience essential for promoting and implementing AWS with key businesses and their stakeholders. We are using our expertise to promote AWS with relevant businesses in the UK and in our international partner countries, to support stakeholder engagement around water challenges, and to connect researchers with pathways to impact using water stewardship. Our AWS team is available to help you to implement water stewardship through your business, stakeholders and supply chain. Read about our AWS work in Ethiopia.

WE ENABLE AND SUPPORT COLLABORATION

We operate in the spaces between businesses, the public sector and research. We support collaboration and stakeholder engagement building UK and international partnerships for research, business development and impact.
We supported Brunel University London and the Environment Agency to establish the Centre for Flood Risk & Resilience. We are now active partners on the Board of the Centre.
